This is an exquisite Early 19th Century Burl Mahogany Bookcase Bureau with Astral Glazed upper cabinets, atop bracket feet. Original, brass swan pulls, green interior leather and two working keys for the desk and upper cabinets. The interior fittings boast a hidden pop-out center box, along with two flanking columns. Alongside a number of small drawers to house letters, paper and writing materials. The leather desk surface pops up for slanted use if preferred. A truly remarkable piece of English furniture that would make writing letters or opening mail all the sweeter.
